Name : Ruairidh “Rory” Weyr (pron – ROO-ah-ree)
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Type: Half-Human, half ‘Fair Folk’
Elective(s): Introduction to Melee Combat, Introduction to Magic, French
Ethnicity: Caucasian (Irish)
Description: Tall for his age, still somewhat lanky in youth but hints that he’ll fill out in later years. His hair is a pale silvery white-blond, soft as silk but surprisingly thick, falling down just past his shoulders in length. He usually has it pulled back in a tight tail to be out of the way. His skintone is a naturally dark, dusky shade. The irises of his eyes are completely black, indistinguishable from the pupil at all. His facial structure is notably fine-boned and exotic, but not enough to seem inhuman, but the tops of his ears have a small but noticably pointed tip. All in all, he’s a very attractive youth with no signs of that changing in years to come.
Personality: Fairly laid-back and calm, allowing things to happen as they will rather than fight to change them, for the most part. He does have a bit of a smart-aleck streak, though not necessarily mean-spirited. It is a hard thing to get him to lose his temper, but once it’s lost, watch out.
History: The Weyr Clan were druids practicing magic on the Isles back before the days of the Romans, and it is a tradition that has been passed down from father to son, mother to daughter ever since. Rory is no different. Nor is the fact that he’s only half-human all that much of a surprise, either. Fully aware of the secrets of the world, the Weyr family has had it’s share of supernatural bloodlines crop up in their family tree more than once. He is somewhat unique in that his father was apparently one of the síth, or Fair Folk—and a member of the Unseelie Court, at that. Rory has never met the creature that sired him, and whatever events happened that led to his conception, his mother and grandparents refuse to speak about it.
Powers: Due to his síth blood, Rory has both an affinity and a certain amount of immunity to illusion magic.
Inventory: Quarter-sized ancient gold pendant in a celtic knot, a symbol of protection and prosperity that’s been passed down through his mother’s family for hundreds of years. Whether it actually possesses any real magic or is just a sentimental keepsake has yet to be seen.
